A WESSEX AUTUMN
A celebration of the senses
through food, drink, music and words
Dorchester Arts cordially invites you to
its autumn fundraising event, to be held at Ashton Farm Barn, Martinstown, on
Thursday 27 October 2016 at 6.30pm
We would be delighted if you would join us for a celebration of the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, taking place in a hidden corner of Dorset! Ashton Farm Barn is a special place you never knew was there, but which you will never forget – part of the Wessex that Thomas Hardy and William Barnes celebrated.
To complement this magical setting, we have created an evening of entertainment that will be a celebration of the senses. John Sheaves from Taste of the West will take you on a journey of flavours; tasting local ciders, brandy, apple cake, bread, cheeses and meats.
Folk musician and storyteller Tim Laycock will provide traditional music and stories; and acclaimed author Christopher Nicholson will read from his best-selling novel Winter – a story of Thomas Hardy and the Hardy Players.
So book your places now for a golden evening of food, drink, music and words as the nights draw in – something to look forward to.
Tickets are just £18 each, to include a complimentary welcome drink, as well as food and drink tasting. All profits go to Dorchester Arts. We look forward to seeing you there!
