Hi! I'm still reveling in awe of the designers, playtesters, and gamers who joined us for our third annual Design Day this past weekend. Thank you all for making it such a special event.
This month I'm excited to reveal full details of Scythe: Invaders from Afar, including translated rules, a design diary, and even an early review of Scythe: Invaders from Afar.

I really appreciate all of our translator ambassadors who were able to translate the expansion rulebook into 15 different languages in time for this e-newsletter. Find your language here.
We'll release a few more early reviews leading up to the November release on the Scythe Facebook group. To order this expansion, request it from you preferred local or online retailer (it's not available directly from Stonemaier Games). The stock code is STM615.
If you don't have the base game of Scythe yet, more copies will arrive in stores in mid-October, followed by various special accessories (metal coins, extended board, etc) in November.
Time-Sensitive Updates
- PixelPop Festival: Jamey is part of a game-design panel at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 8. Feel free to come heckle him.
- Austin meetup: Join Jamey for an evening of games at Wonko's Toys and Games in Austin, Texas from 6:00-9:00 Thursday, October 20. No need to RSVP--this is a casual meetup that coincides with a trip Jamey is making down to Austin.
- Essen Spiel: Stonemaier Games will not have a booth at Essen, nor will Jamey or Alan be there. However, Morten will be there, so feel free to reach out to him on BoardGameGeek to see if he's available. Also, Morning Players will be releasing the French, German, and UK-English versions of Scythe at Essen (booth F-131).
Product Updates
One thing to note on the above chart is the new addition of "realistic resources." Similar to our partnership with Meeplesource for Scythe's promos, we're partnering with Top Shelf Gamer to offer you many of the realistic resource tokens found in our treasure chest series.
