Get back on your bike
Spring has arrived with moderate temperatures and sunny days, making it the perfect time to bring your bike out of the shed and get it back on the road.
October 12 is National Ride2Work Day, the largest celebration of commuter riding in Australia! It’s a day for new riders to find the motivation to get on two wheels and for regular riders to encourage work mates to get involved.

Take the sweat out of cycling with an e-bike
Electric bikes can help you get around and stay fit without the costs and emissions of a car or the traffic congestion – and they are great fun!
An electric bike (e-bike) is similar to a traditional bicycle with the addition of a battery pack and an electric motor that assist the rider’s efforts.
E-bikes can make cycling a more enjoyable and feasible option especially if you:
- Commute long distances
- Live in a hilly area
- Can’t easily pedal a traditional bicycle
- Enjoy tailwinds but not headwinds
Switch your thinking is taking a closer look at e-bikes through our Switched on bikes initiative. You can read our guide to electric bikes and enter a competition to win an e-bike valued at $3699.
