In This Edition:

The Queensland government recently released a discussion paper asking for input into how $7.5 million could be applied over three years as part of a Regional Hubs Innovation Program. The paper was supported by workshops across the region (ours was in Cairns last week) and an online survey for regions to contribute to the program implementation.

It is worth checking out this video and having a read of the materials to be informed about what the Queensland Government in trying to achieve in the innovation and startup space.

We'd love to hear your thoughts, have you get involved to collaborate with us on what an innovation hub might look like for the Tablelands.

Crowdsource Funding In Action

Last month's Lunch & Learn session with Jean Thomas from the Tenkille Conservation alliance sharing her strategy to being involved in two successful crowdsource funding campaigns was a great success.

We had 22 people as this event and it was even more exciting to see that Jean's most recent campaign finished up raising just over $24,000!! The project was to support the completion of the film “Into the Jungle” which documents the work of Jean's conservation and development work in Papua New Guinea.

The movie trailer is well worth watching - check it out on the Pozible platform here.

Great to see and hear from innovative, local Tablelanders!

If you have a request for a topic or know somebody who would be a great 'Lunch & Learn' presenter - we'd love to hear from you.
A great opportunity for local Tableland kids!
