This week's new and special...

THE WINTER SQUASH ARE HERE !..........
Leaves are dying down and now we start walking the field to see what we have.  The edges were planted with big Blue Hubbards and we can see some really beautiful giant ones.  We will start cutting in a week or so. We recommend that the large blues and butternut types are held until the holidays for the best flavor.  Also enjoy them now as part of your decor.  Just be sure to have some airflow under them.

THANK YOU to everyone who came to the farm this weekend for the Tomato Festival.  We so enjoyed meeting new friends of the farm and sharing great food and wine on the lawn.  The Sunday Tomato dinner, created by Tim Veatch and Erik Rodriguez was a total joy! Ali from 15C is a master at pairing perfect and unusual wines with the tomato based dishes. And that is no easy task!!! We are always grateful for her support.  Lynette Sonne from Farmstead ED did another amazing job getting the word out and then organizing everything on site.  We also had a perfect wait staff - friends of the farm.
