Repair Café
The Cville TimeBank Repair Café returns for a third community-wide event on Saturday, October 22, 12-4pm at IX Art Park.
Did you know that our area sent more than 7,000 tons of waste to the landfill last year? Yup, 14 MILLION pounds of trash. That’s like throwing away 1,400 monster trucks or 350 Boeing 747s.
Let’s stop the waste! Bring your broken stuff to get fixed for free by volunteers. You can bring up to 3 things – small appliances, clothing, bikes, jewelry, toys, and other household items.
Cville TimeBank Repair Café is a totally free community event, open to everyone. Tell your friends! For more info, please visit CvilleTimeBank.com or join the Repair Café mailing list.

Office Hours at the Senior Center
We've long dreamed about a partnership with the Senior Center. The dream is becoming a reality with the launch of monthly "office hours" at the Center. TimeBank members will be there to answer questions, hold new member orientations, help navigate the software, and make connections within the TimeBank.
These sessions are held on the third Wednesday of every month, from 2-4 pm, and are open to the public. Kudos to members Emerald, Octavia and Brigitte for stepping up to form the Senior Center team!
TimeWeavers Help You Connect
These member volunteers specialize in helping members make connections within the TimeBank. They browse through member profiles and service postings, then message individual members when they spot an opportunity to connect the dots.
TimeWeavers also act as our 'Welcoming Committee', reaching out to new members to offer help with filling out their profile, posting a picture, and getting those first needs/offers posted. Thank you to members Raven and Ann for volunteering to take on this important role!
Cville TimeBank Blog
Do you follow the Cville TimeBank blog? With so much of our activity happening online and in one-on-one transactions, it's sometimes hard to visualize what's happening in the TimeBank network. So over the summer, members Cathy and Gail started blogging about the lovely connections that happen among our members.
Got a story to share? Please reach out! Contact timebankcville@gmail.com. Cathy and Gail will be happy to get in touch for a quick interview and write about your TimeBank experience.
Potluck!
More than 30 happy faces made our day at the TimeBank potluck on Sunday. Wonderful food, time well spent together, stories shared, questions answered, ideas aplenty, and a handful of TimeBank exchanges arranged or completed!
We're planning another potluck get-together in November, so watch for an invitation. Hope to see you there!
