The Last Frontier
Alaska – The Last Frontier. Not the television show, the destination.
We just returned from two weeks in Alaska as part of the Adventure Travel World Summit. In addition to several days of meetings creating partnerships with local companies, we were fortunate enough to explore Alaska from Kodiak to Katmai to Kenai Fjords via land-based and small plane excursions.
The majority of travelers visit Alaska via cruise ships. Our land-based itinerary offered a vastly different experience. We were blown away by Alaska’s beauty, wide open spaces, friendly locals, and abundant wildlife. Alaska truly differs from every other destination in the world and each day offers unique memories sure to last a lifetime – calving glaciers, bears wading through streams in search of salmon, moose foraging on willow, so many bald eagles you start losing count, and the list goes on.
If you haven’t been to Alaska, go. If you have been, go back. You’re sure to be blown away like we were!
Keep an eye out for more sample itineraries on our website as well as a scheduled group departure in June 2017 featuring bears, whales and glaciers – the Alaskan trifecta.
