Celebrate Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the Library's First-Ever Read-a-thon and After-Hours Family Event

Celebrate books, reading, and the Library at this chocolatey good day of family fun!

A read-a-thon is a community-wide, all-ages event and fundraiser during which an entire book will be read aloud by several volunteer readers.  The Library’s first-ever read-a-thon will feature the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.  Come on out and listen to volunteer readers as they share this absurdly silly and sweet tale.  No registration or fees for the read-a-thon.

Afterward, the celebration continues with our fundraiser “An Evening of Pure Imagination”—a ticketed event that Willy Wonka himself would devour.  Great gobs of chocolate, marvelous performers, and intriguing activities await you!  Funds raised will go towards a new puppet theater for the Youth Room.

You have only a few days left to purchase tickets! Visit the Library's website at www.btpl.org/imagination, or stop by the Library's Circulation Desk. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets will also be available at the door.

We look forward to seeing you there!
