My big Fall show is coming up in a couple of weeks!
Candied Fabrics
Dear <<First Name>>,

Art For Heaven's Sake

The only art show I'm participating in this fall is coming up this montth! It's being held at Redlands United Church of Christ, which is located at 168 Bellevue Ave, Redlands, CA (click link for map). They have a fantastic opening reception Friday night with lots of great appetizers circulating the whole time. It doesn't cost anything to enter the show, there's live music all through the weekend, lunch is available for purchase, it's always a fantastic weekend. Plan a good couple of hours because there are 65 artists scattered all over the grounds! Here are the dates/times:
  • Friday, Oct. 14, 7 pm – 10 pm
  • Saturday, Oct. 15, 10 am – 5 pm
  • Sunday, Oct. 16, 11:30 am – 5 pm

20% of each purchase is donated to the church for use in their many awesome community service projects. Visit their site for more information.

Please stop by and say hi if you go!

New Leather Handled Linen Totes

I've been working hard on sewing more Leather Handled Linen totes as I predict they're going to be very popular at the show!

I've got a total of 5 Indigo Totes ready to go:

And I just finished up 3 more in my Autumn Splendor palette to add to the few I already have:

Modern Patchwork Gifts 2016

My latest publication is this clipped zipper pouch pattern in this year’s Modern Patchwork Gifts:

I really really love all things Christmas, so have always been inspired with lots of ideas to submit for publication in the Quilting Arts/Modern Patchwork holiday issue each year, and have had at least one (and up to four!) patterns published in each yearly edition since 2010. I am happy to continue the tradition!

Desktop Calendars

For October I've got a calendar that celebrates the Golds, Reds and Rusts of glorious Fall Foliage (that we don't get here in So Cal but I loved growing up in New England) on a piece of luscious silk I dyed for my Dyeing 104: Multicolor Silk online class.

Click on either the picture above or this link to be taken to Flickr where you can download the size that you need.

Now I've got to return to my daily balancing of the day job, show prep, kid chauffering, and general craziness! I've got a lot more on my "to do" list for Art for Heaven's Sake!

Yours in color,
Candy

Advanced Free Motion Quilting

Monday evenings in February 2017: February 13, 20 & 27 from 6:30 – 9:30 pm

Take your free motion quilting to the next level! This class is designed for folks who’ve already taken a free motion class with me. We’ll work on making our stitches more even, developing smoother curves and pointier points, and expanding our motif knowledge. I’ll show you new quilting motifs we didn’t cover in the first class, and more importantly, work on varying the motifs you already know to fit particular design issues and ultimately develop quilting patterns that are all your own! I’ll show you how to bind your quilt completely on your sewing machine. We’ll also make a sampler quilt that allows us to feature our favorite motifs and learn my fun and easy method of Quilt As You Go!
