DISCOVER ENGINEERING

The 50th class of UCSB Engineers has arrived! Our campus is once again filled with enthusiasm and hope to accomplish great things. Meet some of our inspiring undergrads who are excited to share about their goals as the new school year begins.

FROM THE ARCHIVES

What are you looking at? Mechanical Engineering Professor Brad Paden's robotics class is checking out a creepy looking robot circa 1987. What could this robot be doing?

MAKE YOUR MARK: CONTRIBUTE TO OUR TIME CAPSULE

From the creation of the Internet, LEDs, photonics, and more, UCSB Engineering is a community that has made tangible contributions to the evolution of modern-day science and technology. Our accomplishments over the past 50 years are worth celebrating.

At the end of this year, we will bury our first ever UCSB Engineering Time Capsule, which will capture a moment in our history -- as we make history. It will be recovered in 2066, our 100th Year Anniversary!
