Hi everyone

1) Western Distributor Community Liaison Group Update from Jen Lilburn

I have been following up Action 270716_9 from our last BCRG meeting, being:
BCRG to liaise with community groups focussed on the Western Distributor Projects and look for opportunities to share information.

I have spoken with Jim Williamson, who chairs the Western Distributor Community Liaison Group (CLG) and Bert Boere, who is a member of the group (as well as being Chairman of Brooklyn Residents Action Group and a regular BCRG attendee). Geoff Mitchelmore also attends the CLG.

Minutes from the monthly CLG meetings can be found at http://westerndistributorproject.vic.gov.au/community-liaison-group-clg/  and general information about the project is at http://westerndistributorproject.vic.gov.au/wd/

Jim is in the process of compiling a list of community concerns about the project, which he will forward to the three companies involved in tendering for the project. If you would like to discuss or put forward any issues relating to the proposed Western Distributor, please contact Bert Boere dutchaussie@westnet.com.au or Geoff Mitchelmore geoffmitchelmore@gmail.com .

BCRG Advertising and ongoing publicity and posters
We have produced a promotional poster for BCRG and put a few up in community centres in Yarraville and south of the freeway but it would be great to get them posted in more places. If you would like to put a poster up the document is available on the Brooklynip website.
  • Other ways you can help is to use this text and the links to the website and Facebook in your promotional material/social media.
Are you concerned about dust, noise and odour issues in the Brooklyn area?

The Brooklyn Community Representative Group Community Forum (BCRG) is an opportunity for members of the community, industry, local and state government to discuss issues about the air quality of the general Brooklyn area. It also enables the communication of plans and progress by individual industries, local government and EPA
