Discontinuation of 8 CentralNic extensions

Registry CentralNic has announced that they will discontinue eight low-volume second level domains as from the 30th of April, 2017. The discontinuation means that with immediate effect, those eight extensions can no longer be registered, transferred or renewed.

Latest updates on the new gTLDs
|

Announced changes in launch schedules:
- .makeup: has delayed its launch schedule. The Sunrise will start on the 22nd of October (instead of the 8th of October); Early Access Phase will run from the 1st until the 8th of November (instead of the 19th until the 26th of October); the General Availability will start on the 8th of November (instead of the 26th of October).
- .insurance: will start accepting 1- and 2-character domains as from the 6th of October; those domains will carry a premium price.
- .コム (.xn—tckwe): has extended its trademark claims period until the 10th of March, 2017 (instead of the 11th of September, 2016).
- .versicherung: has been taken over by registry operator TLD Box. No changes are to be expected that affect you.

All Donuts and Rightside General Availability have an Early Access Program (EAP) of 7 days. The EAP helps registrants immediately secure the domain names they’ve always wanted. Likewise, brand owners have an opportunity to obtain non-trademark domain names to help promote and protect brands, or register terms that dominate a market or industry.
