Throughout the winter months (until the end of December) I'm still touring with 'December' with a sprinkling of older and newer songs.
This was my first and only entirely solo collection of songs. I had no idea how it would be received, although I was trusting in the fact that most people tend to see me perform solo & still come back so I was hoping this might be a good sign.
Turns out the reviews have been 100% good. I even got my first ever Guardian review.
The CD and vinyl album have both sold very well, and I’ve been having the best time touring the songs, making new friends & meeting old ones around the country. Thank you to all the programmers who have booked me and all the lovely people who have come to sing along and wave.
So I have decided to make a second solo album…
…whereas December was largely a collection of love songs, this time the topics will encompass some of the more social and political issues I’ve been involved in over the last year, as well as accounts of incidents & stories both real and just plain made up.
The planned release date is February 2017 & dates are already filling up for touring with these songs so next year will see me doing more of the same as this, but with some brand new songs. Hope to see you out on that there road very soon.
