Traffic Reminder
We are asking that our families not drive on our neighboring streets, Gribbel and Mulford Roads. Our neighbors on these streets have communicated to us that they are experiencing a heavy rate of traffic at unsafe speeds. They have notified the Cheltenham Police about the number of cars that disregard the 25 MPH speed limit. Please help us be good neighbors by not driving on Gribbel and Mulford Roads. Mission Day
The theme of this year’s World Mission Sunday celebration is “Mercy At Work in the Missions”. Mission Day will be observed on Friday, October 14th in anticipation of World Mission Sunday, October 23rd. Ancillae-Assumpta Academy hopes to increase student awareness of the missionary spirit of the Church. Through the proceeds raised during our Mission Day, we respond to the many requests we receive during the year to support the world-wide missions. While helping our world neighbors in need the students will mix giving with fun and play bingo with their sharing partners.

Students in PS to 8th grade are invited to donate $5.00 to play Mission Bingo on Friday, October 14th. Please bring donations to school between October 10 and 14.

New AAA Parents Group
First Meeting: October 12th, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Location: Student Dining Room

A group of interested parents would like to start a new Parents Group at AAA whose purpose will be to bring families with diverse backgrounds and experiences together. This new group will be a resource and a voice for the unique experiences we and our children have in the world, and would seek to bring broader awareness and education to our school and to our children about cultures, religions, national origin, abilities, family types and races that are different than their own.

This group will be open to moms, dads, step-parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, guardians, and any adult member of an AAA family that is interested in getting involved. This group is not just for those who are a family, or have a member of their family that identifies as being of a different culture, religion, national origin, ability, family type or race. This group is open and inclusive to anyone and everyone who wants to work with other families and our school to bring more support and awareness into our community.

The first meeting for this group will be held on October 12th from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Student Dining Room at school. We hope to see you there.

To RSVP or for questions, contact Heather Peters or at 215-667-9204.

October Letter to our Families: A Legacy of Reconciliation
Thank you for your presence at the Back to School meetings, High School Night, and Fiat Day celebration.  We are off to a wonderful start and are so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our 70th Anniversary and the many legacies that have been entrusted to us. This month we continue to live A Legacy of Reconciliation. From the news that we see and read, we realize that there are so many broken people and situations in our world.  We can’t help but wonder when the violence, anger, frustration, and meanness will stop.  The need to retaliate has become commonplace. And yet, in this Year of Mercy, we are invited by Pope Francis to care for one another, to be compassionate, to ask and give forgiveness. ~Read More~
