Meet the Missionaries
Andy and Judy Bennett have been serving at Kudjip Nazarene Hospital since February of 2003.
Andy is a family practice doctor on the staff of the hospital. He especially loves taking care of kids on the children's ward, but has worked on all of the wards at various times. He sees general patients in the outpatient department and ER. His favorite thing to do at the hospital is to treat children with clubfoot, a common birth defect. He is also the Volunteer Coordinator, working with volunteer doctors, residents and medical students who come to help at the hospital.
Judy's professional background is in Speech Therapy, but she has served in a variety of ways at the Hospital. One of her main jobs at the moment is managing the medical storeroom, where she receives, unpacks, sorts and stores or distributes donated medical supplies, including all the supplies given through Nazarene Hospital Foundation. She also works in hospitality for medical volunteers.
God's call to missions came in mid-life for the Bennetts. In fact, their welcome at Kudjip was a birthday party for their 50th birthdays. Though it meant a major change in their lives, they have felt blessed by the privilege of serving at Nazarene Hospital.
Prior to coming to PNG, the Bennetts lived in Arlington, Washington, where Andy was in private practice.
The Bennetts have 3 children. Drew and his wife Andrea, have one son, Andy. They live in Puyallup, Washington. Amy lives in Nampa, Idaho, as does Sam, and his wife, Cheyenne.
Please PRAY for the Bennett's as they continue to serve the people of PNG as well as the Nazarene Church.
Your prayers allow you to become partners in this incredible ministry to the country of Papua New Guinea.
