2016 Show Season....

2016 has been an exciting year of growth and success competing in Dressage with Judy Portmann's talented Morgan, Danny. We competed last weekend in the USDF Region 3 Championships in Open First and Second Level, and had a great time getting to ride in the Olympic Stadium where the 1996 Equestrian Olympics were held! Danny is currently ranked 3rd in the Nation for the Morgan All-Breeds Award at Open First Level. He was Champion Sporthorse, High Point Dressage Horse (First Level), and Champion Carriage Horse at the Southern States Regional Morgan show in May. Even more importantly, he has advanced from Training Level to Second Level work sound, happy, and stress-free over the past year and just gets more and more lovely to ride and handle. Many thanks to Judy Portmann for your trust and support allowing me to train and compete Danny, and to coach Laura Klecker for helping us progress and learn!

Thank You....

I've had a lot of fun sweatin' with a great group of horses (and mules!) in training this summer! A big THANK YOU to all my horse-in-training owners and you hard-core students who have braved the heat to continue your training. I am so grateful to you all for your support and friendship!

On a Personal Note....

I had the exquisite pleasure of celebrating my mother's marriage in May! Her husband, Michael, is a truly wonderful man with a generous open-hearted family of his own that I enjoyed getting to know better during their destination wedding in beautiful Asheville, NC. The happy couple now lives in Virginia. They came down to watch me and Danny compete last weekend, and it made the weekend extra special!
My pal Borrego has spent the summer up in Massachusetts escaping the worse of the heat and enjoying riding and hacking out with his auntie Carolyn. He arrives back in Aiken in the next two weeks, and I am so excited to see him and hear about all of their adventures!
