The Who, What, and Where of Utah's Statewide High-Resolution Imagery and Basemap Usage

Thanks to survey responses from users and metrics from the imagery server logs, we've learned a lot about the value being derived from Utah's Google imagery license and cloud-hosted base map server. We've also have good input on what users expect going forward.

And, finally, we've got a pretty picture to complement the survey. Fittingly, the imagery and base map use patterns, at the finest scales, over the past 18 months make for an interesting map.
Status Update on Road Centerline Schema Changes

AGRC, along with our partners, have been exploring enhancements to the statewide road centerline layer the process for keeping this important map resource current. Updates to the draft data model update and feedback from the June regional road centerline workshops have been compiled and published.
The Dynamic Great Salt Lake: An Aerial Photography Story Map

AGRC hosts a variety of aerial photography from current and previous years, accessible for download from the raster data discovery application. In storymap form, the dynamic nature of the Great Salt Lake and surrounding area provides a good example of the insight that can be gained from a collection of vintage aerial photography.
2016 LiDAR Acquisition Area Updated

The 2016 LiDAR acquisition project areas map has been edited to include the FORGE geothermal area in north central Beaver County. Last month's blogpost and map have been updated to reflect the change.
Upcoming Broadband Tech Summit

The GOED Broadband Outreach Center's, and its mapping team at AGRC, continue to publish a monthly map series highlighting the broadband landscape in Utah. This month, the team mapped the fastest advertised residential speeds available for each Utah addressed property, showing the percentage served, by speed tier, for each county.

If you're interested in broadband or IT, the 2016 Broadband Tech Summit, is coming up. It's at the Falls Event Center (Trolley Square), November 9th. The summit will feature industry leaders, policy experts, and the opportunity to network with Utah's broadband stakeholders.
