Glasgow/Appenzell/Vars/Lucerne
The month of July marked the end of 6 years of musical pilgrimage in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland , a journey of delicious "ups" and productive "downs" , surrounded by people that throughout the years have become my musical family, contributing immensely to my musical infrastructure, and leaving many memories that will be celebrated throughout my music here on onward.
For the special occasion of my graduation my family flew over and we all celebrated what was a very important and beautiful chapter in my life. |
After yet another celebration , this time of my quarter of a century anniversary, I traveled to Switzerland for the yearly "Summer Intensives" on the fantasylands of Appenzell , an incredible place mixed with surreal landscapes and a hardworking environment that creates the perfect bubble for our farmhouse to become something similar to a roman "Ludus" .
If you hated pianos, this is a masochist's paradise
As it happens, of course, we all love it.
During my stay in Switzerland I had a quick musical escapade to the other side of the Swiss Alps, in "VARS", for their annual Piano Festival , a superb little gem of a place stuck inbetween these intimidating cliffs and unfading peaks of the French Alps.
Quickly after the French expedition I returned in the piano oven in Switzerland to finalize the “Debut Concert” in Appenzell's prestigious “Weissbad Hotel” where I was joined by two other romanian pianists for a concert of 2-4-6 hands piano festivity and fireworks.
Soon after all these musical adventures I went on a complete spoiling session in the beautiful city of Lucerne , with really delightful company, jubilating swiss wines from the Valais and an incredible musical experience in the "Lucerne Festival " .
A really beautiful birthday gift from a very dear friend !
