NEW DONORS CHOOSE PROJECT FROM MS. SORIS
THE "EMPTY BOWL PROJECT"

Students will be creating ceramic bowls and giving back to the community by helping to feed the hungry, but they need a potter's wheel to do it!
Donate to their cause!!!

MORE ABOUT THE PROJECT:  Students will use a potter's wheel to create functional ceramic bowls that will be made for the "Empty Bowl Project".  The "Empty Bowl Project" allows artists to create and donate bowls, then serve a simple meal to the hungry. Ms. Soris will be teaching her ceramics students that charity is not reserved only for emergencies. They will learn to appreciate that reaching out to others in need is a way of life, rather than a moment in time when a catastrophic disaster occurs. They will also be shown that giving back doesn’t just mean donating money, and that generosity is not limited to giving away things you no longer want. Ms. Soris' students will learn to use both heart and hand with a community project like this!

If you can help fund this project, visit her Donors Choose page by clicking the picture below!  Thank you for supporting great projects at GHS like this one!
