Taking Care of Business: People with Disability Working for Themselves

Would you like to be your own boss?

Would you like to earn money from your passions?

Do you want to make work fit with your lifestyle?

Do you want to choose your hours and where you want to work?

Why not set up your own business?

At October's Planning Cafes you’ll hear from people with disability and family members who are working for themselves in their own businesses.

Business owners and guest speakers include:

  • Alec and Georgia Warren from Shred This who have recently established a paper shredding and disposal business.
  • Michael Monaghan and Frazer Berrick from FrazMic who offer shopping services for busy people and others.
  • Jacob Hughes, a disability presenter and magazine publisher.
  • William O’Neil, a life coach.

Get expert advice from the Hunter Business Centre (www.businesscentre.com.au) about how to get started and make your business sustainable.

Be motivated by your peers who run their own businesses and leave with some next steps. Make working for yourself work for you!
