September 2016 Update
The DTS has begun!
We are about to start week 2 in DTS and we have already seen some big things happen! We have seen students step out of their comfort zones, break out of fear of public speaking, share how God has impacted their lives and what they hope for in this time. We ended up with 10 students after a few dropped out and we have an amazing group. Miraculously, we have JUST enough accommodation for all the students and things are going smoothly. We have decided to host lectures out of our Youth Street Hang Out Space (a garage) which suits us perfectly as we are still a pioneering location.
Mission Builder/Volunteer
It has very been true for us that God has provided the right people as we have needed. Over the last few weeks, we have had a volunteer (what we call a Mission Builder) join us to help out with whatever we needed help in. In saying that, God has been ever faithful as this person has brought many skills with her from building to landscaping she has helped us with the many odd jobs we've had on our "to-do" list and its brought so much freedom for us to do some of the other things on our plate as the school begins... honestly, a miracle in the timing. We are so grateful.
Seeing the Lame Walk
On Friday, we sent the DTS out on a scavenger hunt to get to know the city, try to capture a bit of God's heart for it and engage with the public as much as possible. They took every opportunity to pray with people as they walked through the city. In one encounter, they met a man who could not walk or stand for 3 years after getting hit by a car. When they were praying for him, they noticed his atrophied leg started to shake and they wondered if God was doing something so they kept praying. Finally after the prayer they asked him if he wanted to try to stand up. He stood up! He wanted to walk up the stairs of the church to acknowledge the healing Jesus did and HE DID with a little bit of help! Then he walked down the stairs by himself! God did a miracle in that guys life!
We are so thrilled to acknowledge the faithfulness of the Lord as we are all available to be used by him. What are some of the miracles you are seeing in your everyday life? What can you be thankful for today as he works in and through your life? Lets spend some time in awe of the one who is Sovereign!
Angela is heading up to Yosemite today for 2 weeks with the DTS as they go into lectures of The Character & Nature of God and Biblical Worldview. Both subjects will be incredible to study as we bask in the amazing creation before us. Luke and the kids will join in on Wednesday night and stay for the remainder of the time as the kids have a school break. Prayers appreciated!

Latest Haythorpe Happenings
We recently said goodbye to the 4 siblings we were caring for. The parents were able to get a position to have the kids living back with them and so we sent them off. Although it was hard to juggle 8 children from time to time, it was such a good reminder of God's heart for all his children and how he looks after us. We love being able to minister in this neighborhood.
The Haythorpe kids love having the DTS around and find life in a bunch of young adults giving them lots of attention. There have been many expressions from the kids on how much the enjoy the DTS season.
The school year is going well so far. Please pray for us as we continue to work with and see Xavier grow. Also, as we try to help Kindi with her dyslexia in a Middle school context.
This last week, we had some very close friends from Australia visit which was so refreshing as we shared what God is doing in life. Its so good to have a community near and far where we can encourage and spur one another along in things the Lord is speaking.

Financial Update
In the area of finances, we continue to have a bit of a gap in our monthly expenses (see URGENT NEEDS here). Having said that, our heart explodes with gratefulness as he meets our needs time and time again.
As always, we'd appreciate your investment of prayer in this area as we see the gaps filled. We know it is God who ultimately meets the need and moves people into partnership with us, so we treasure and value each and every prayer given!
Words cannot express how blessed we are by your financial investment into us and the kingdom as we step out as the Lord leads.
We pray that all your investments, whether in prayer or finances, comes back to you 10xs more! Blessings over you today and this week!
