START@SystemX Kick-Off Event

On September 21, START@SystemX launched the first season of the Mobility program and the call for participations. This season is dedicated to startups that are working towards improving the mobility of the future. The selected startups will be offered the opportunity to work collaboratively with industrial and academic stakeholders for a 6-month period as of January 2017. If you lead a mobility project and want to integrate this new program, please submit your application until October 23!

Assises de la Sécurité Congress

SystemX attended the Assises de la Sécurité Congress, the most popular reference event on the ISS (Information Systems Security) professional scene, from 5 to 8 October in Monaco. Charles Kremer, Smart Territories Program Director, led a workshop dedicated to IoT and Security and François Stephan, Deputy CEO, participated in a panel discussion about “The hidden side of intelligent cars”.

 
 
 

Franco-British symposium on ITS


From October 4 to 5, SystemX was invited to participate to the Franco-British symposium on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), organized by the French Embassy in London and Transport Systems Catapult. Paul Labrogère, Autonomous Transport Program Director, held a talk on “Modeling and Simulation for Safety and Security of Autonomous Transport”. 

 
 
 

Scientific and Technological Council Meeting

The SystemX's Scientific and Technological Council gathered on September 23. The meeting was conducted by Patrice Aknin, Scientific Director, in the presence of the council's members. On the agenda: a presentation of the 2016-2020 roadmap and of the Scientific Direction perspectives, and discussions around possible interactions between SystemX and the academic sector.

IDnomic Annual Event


On September 15, IDnomic organized its annual event: IDea Lab. This event gathers the company’s customers and partners around a networking space. The objective is to create an ideas laboratory and share best practices between participants.

 
 
 

Factory Lab Inauguration

On September 28, CEA Saclay, Cetim, Arts & Métiers and large industrial companies (PSA, Dassault Systèmes, DCNS and Safran), inaugured Factory Lab: a “project factory” for the industry of the future. This platform will accelerate the integration in industrial companies of new technologies developed by SMEs and CEA List.

Towards the Energy Transition


From October 4 to 5, Université Paris-Saclay and EDF R&D department held a scientific workshop and a student forum on energy transition, and SystemX was one of the partners of this event. During 2 days, participants heard scientific presentations and round tables around different topics: the nuclear energy, the electric mobility, the photovoltaics solar energy, etc.

 
 
 

Collaborative Engineering Day

The 2nd edition of the Collaborative Engineering Day, the rendez-vous of collaborative engineering stakeholders, will take place on October 14 in Paris. The event, organized by CESAMES, will be opened by Eric Perrin-Pellerin, SystemX CEO, and will be punctuated by numerous talks, plenary sessions, round-table discussions and opportunities for networking.

Organized by Systematic Paris-Region on a yearly basis, the Journée Ambition PME (JAP) is dedicated to SMEs and digital innovation stakeholders who want to expand their business and to discover new tech trends. This year, the event will take place on October 13 in Paris. 

 
 
 

Rendez-Vous Carnot

HOLISHIP Project Kick-Off
Part of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Transport Research Program, HOLISHIP is a 4 years’ project involving a large consortium of European maritime industry and research partners. From September 29 to 30, the 40 partners has met in Athens (Greece) for the project kick-off to refine the definition of work packages and the project schedule.
Now the consortium has to develop the next generation ship design system for the European maritime industry.
SystemX, with the ISC project, is involved within this European project.

 
 
 

Autonomous Transport

Airbus Defence and Space joins CTI Project
Airbus Defence and Space has signed a cybersecurity technological partnership agreement in the intelligent transportation field with SystemX and 8 players in the rail transportation, automotive and aviation industries. So-called ‘intelligent’ transportation, i.e. transportation that is increasingly both autonomous and connected, offers new services and promises improved user safety.

Autonomy Festival
Autonomy is a festival devoted to Urban Mobility. The event took place from October 7 to 9 in Paris. Paul Labrogère, Autonomous Transport Program Director, spoke in a round table on the following topic: “Cybersecurity, what effects will the autonomous vehicles have on public transports?”.

The EIC project attended the CoFiS meetings on September 20 in order to share the CHESS (Cybersecurity Hardening Environment for Systems of Systems) platform advances.

Smart Territories

Anthropolis Chair Colloquium
The Anthropolis Chair, initiated by SystemX and CentraleSupélec, organized its first colloquium on September 28 in Paris. Over 60 participants attended the event and discovered the Chair research and teaching activities on human centered urban mobility.

H2020 ICT Proposers’ Day
SystemX, along with Systematic Paris-Region, participated to an event organized by the European Commission from 26 to 27 September in Bratislava (Slovakia). The objective was to foster collaboration within the European Research & Innovation ecosystem in the field of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies). The programs identified by SystemX for possible participation to collaborative Research projects funded by the H2020 framework include: Automated Road & Transport, Mobility for Growth, Smart & Sustainable Cities, Digital Security, Next Generation Internet, Energy Efficiency, Big Data architectures and Internet of Things.

Mission to Singapore
Patrice Aknin, Scientific Director, and François Stephan, Deputy CEO, spent 4 days in Singapore early October to continue the exploration, started last February, of possible collaborations with the local industrial and academic institutions. Their mission included meetings with some industrial companies (some of which already business partners of SystemX in France), with the NTU University (Nanyang Technological University), the French Ambassador and the Attaché for Science and Technology, and the NRF - National Research Foundation.
