ARC SPOTLIGHT

Appalachia in the House at MINExpo 2016

Image of representatives from Rogers Brothers Corporation at MINExpo 2016.
Rogers Brothers Corporation of Albion, Pennsylvania, was one of many Appalachian companies at MINExpo 2016.
Rigs. Hardware. Engines. Cranes. Ropes. Trucks and trailers. Water reclamation and emissions technology. These were some of the Appalachian mining goods and services on display at 2016 MINExpo International, the largest international mining and construction trade show. In cooperation with the Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission, ARC sponsored 23 mining and construction related companies and organizations from seven Appalachian states to exhibit at the show. As part of the group, these companies also received additional help facilitating new business opportunities domestically and abroad. ARC funding for this partnership came from the POWER (Partnerships for Opportunity and Workforce and Economic Revitalization) Initiative, a multi-agency federal initiative helping communities and regions that have been affected by the changing economics of America's energy production.
