Thank You
A HUGE THANK YOU to all the volunteers who made Saturday's PTA Welcome Back Picnic a success! Thank you in particular to Ian Clancy-Mallue and Michelle Stegens who Co-Chaired the event and helped to set up all the entertainment with a DJ, inflatable, dunk tank, games, etc. Thank you to Michelle, who also took care of all the registrations for the event. The picnic could not run without the help of all the people behind the scenes: Thank you to Cecelia and Chris Connors for their help with picking up food and balloons AND helping with set up and cleanup. A tremendous THANK YOU to Kelly Weiswasser who organized and ran all of the contests for the day, including the cake eating, mummy wrap, water balloon battle, tug o' war, etc. Thank you to Logan Meyer and Jess Gleason for all their help running the kitchen and keeping me in line with food requirements. A colorful thank you to 8th graders Keelin Gouldin, Tali Parliyan, and Kayci Fox who did a beautiful and professional job with the face painting. Thank you to Miranda Coppola who stayed all day to help set up and help out wherever needed. Much appreciation also for Yvonne Modica who has helped to decorate the school entrance every year! Thanks to Paul Lenzi for the use of his generator and to Mr. Steve Keefe for the use of his dunk tank. Thanks also to Mayor Paul Muir for helping us out with water for the tank and some fire trucks showing up. Thank you to Alexa Parliyan for all her help running the financial aspects of the picnic. Thanks to the staff that showed up to help out and in particular, Jane Smith for her expert hot dog making and Dr. Greg Farley for being such a good sport in the dunk tank. Thanks also go out to Sandy Glazer and Heidi Alport who helped organize the scouts to volunteer. We had a great turn out of middle school and high school students who showed up to help out where needed. Lastly, a big thank you to our wonderful custodians Reinaldo and Melvin who always make it fun to work with. Officially, "I'm out!" ~ Maura
