Fall into Philanthropy
Because of YOU, each of our 400+ members, we are making powerful changes in our own communities. Success has been built upon the support of our individual members and we are so grateful to all of you for your caring hearts.

Together we are making direct, positive impacts in El Dorado County and that is something to celebrate. Before we settle into the busyness of the holiday season, we encourage all of you to please join us at the upcoming October event. This evening provides the opportunity for all of us to recognize the impact Women's Fund El Dorado makes in El Dorado County.

Calling all table decorators! Yes, we still need a few more! We need your help to transform the Forni Building from a cinder-block institution into a celebratory wonderland. It has come to our recent attention that individuals may be discouraged from decorating a table due to hauling dishes to and from the event. We are able to offer using the caterer’s white dinner plates and silverware for any table designers. If you would like to design a table and make use of these plates and silverware, please let us know ASAP.  Please email amy@womensfundeldorado.org. Thank you!

Women's Fund member since 2010, Emily Smith embodies the community spirit of Women's Fund El Dorado and we are looking forward to hearing her speak at our event. If you missed her full bio in our September newsletter, you can find it here
Did you know...
In 2012, Women's Fund provided funding for American River Conservancy's “PEER: Place-Based Learning” project. This particular project took place at the Wakamatsu Tea and Silk Colony Farm. The Farm is the site of the first Japanese colony in California. The ARC estimated that our grant dollars, along with additional funding sources, enabled their 30 volunteers to educate 500 visitors, including students from local El Dorado County schools, about the rich cultural history and diverse natural resources of the area.

Visit us at Downtown Placerville's Art and Wine Festival, 10.15.16 from 6 to 9 PM. WFED will be set up inside Flowers on Main. Please stop by for a quick visit and enter to win a small raffle prize. Members wearing their WFED shirts, and/or members who bring a friend in to learn more about WFED will earn multiple entries in the raffle.
Inspire your friends, bring them to our Annual Celebration, 10.27.16
A heartfelt thank you to our Gold Sponsor, US Bank.
