Diversity Task Force: Inclusivity Tip #1
Why Diversity and Inclusion is Important
Providing an inclusive environment acknowledges the diversity of our students, faculty and staff, whether those differences are culture, age, race, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, education, economic status, learning style, nationality, to name a few. This blend of differences is what makes us unique as a community and enhances the discourse and learning we strive for in higher education, preparing our students for a global world. Hear more about the importance of diversity and inclusion from the 2013 Diversity and Inclusion Summit at Colorado University-Boulder.
