Dear fellow alumnae,

WOW! Prepare to be thoroughly jealous of the lucky 604 students who get to experience everyday this remarkable new schoolhouse at 20 East 92nd Street. The Alumnae Board at our first meeting in early September were treated to a tour led by the inimitable Susie Heller '69 (who deserves a standing ovation for her tireless efforts overseeing the construction over the past two years). 20 East 92nd Street now offers the girls resources like a greenhouse and maker space, a black box theater and fitness center, not to mention upgrades to art studios and class rooms. While these changes to the physical spaces at Nightingale are remarkable, the essence of the school, its familiar faces, and Nightingale’s commitment to every girl remain strongly intact. I urge you to come back and visit soon.

“Change” was a theme invoked by Samantha Clare '25, Elizabeth Lokoyi '21, and Council President Kiera Klinsky '17, the three students representing Lower, Middle, and Upper School divisions at Convocation. It was a great reminder that change can be unsettling at any age, but that it always brings about new opportunities. It’s a message I hope you’ve embraced as we start fall. I hope to see many of you back at Nightingale for Homecoming on October 15th. Please also be sure to follow Nightingale on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. As always, thanks for staying in touch, letting us know what’s new with you and for being a part of Nightingale’s history and its future.

Happy fall,
