Well I’m sure no one following Oculus’ Connect 3  conference is surprised that this week’s newsletter is going to be all Oculus’ all the time. For those of you not following along, the Oculus’ Connect conference is a developer conference that pushes the community forward with talks including, but not limited to game development, social aspects of VR and filmmaking. You could have also seen the event streamed live in virtual reality from NextVR.

Oculus’ Virtual Reality Touch Controls Finally Have a Release Date

The Oculus touch controller has a ship date! The preorder will start on October 10th with Shipping starting on December 6th. The price tag for this is $199 but if you already have the headset and computer to run virtual reality, it might be worth the price. If not, maybe wait to see how the controllers stack up against Vive.

'Blade Runner 2049' and Disney will come to VR via Oculus

Though no official plans were announced Disney and Oculus are partnering up, it looks like new and classic Disney characters will be headed over to Oculus platforms to get a reboot in a different reality. We will also have the chance to see some awesome Blade Runner action in VR.
