Are You Concerned About Safety in Our Community
Come to the Community Round Table tomorrow at St. John's Church 10 -11:30 am

Councilman McCormack has put together a neighborhood round table discussion on safety and ways to address crime in our community. He will have statistics, as well as announcements about what steps are being put in place now to organize around crime prevention. Thee more thoughts, comments and ideas from neighborhood residents and stakeholders will make whatever we do as a community stronger. Coffee, water and bagels will be provided.
There will be afew brief updates, but the main purpose of this gathering is to work together in groups to come up with ideas that you would like to see our community work on together. If you have questions, reach out to Councilman McCormack at kmccormack@clevelandcitycouncil.org or 216-664-2691

St. John's Church is located at 2600 Church Ave.
October 2016

We are off to an exciting start to our fall this year with our baseball team starting the playoffs strong! That, combined with the beautiful weather we've had of late - and wow - life in Cleveland is good, no?!

Thanks to everyone who made it out to Patterson's Fun Fest last month. Once again, the out-of-the-neighborhood meet up was a great success. We are looking forward to our 4th annual meet up next year already!

As a reminder, the City of Cleveland holds its Trick or Treating ON HALLOWEEN (Monday, 10/31) from 6-8pm. Remember to walk in groups, don't wear all dark clothes, and always watch for cars. For a link to a full list of trick or treat dates and times in NEO, visit:

In the midst of fall school, sports, and new activities -we don't have A LOT planned right now, but see below for a couple things. If you have an idea you'd like help implementing, please email information@nearwestfamilynetwork.org.

Also - if you know anyone else that would be interested in becoming a member (or just getting our newsletter, forward this email)

A Quick and Tasty Dinner
Herb Roasted Chicken

All of us appreciate a healthy and easy recipe that we can get on the table quickly on a weeknight.  A bonus is if it is something a little bit different from our regular standby meals. Neighborhood Family Practice passed this one along - portioned for 2 servings, double it for a family of 4!

If you have a favorite recipe you'd like to share with our membership, send to information@nearwestfamilynetwork.org
