View this email in your browser
It's been a long time since you have heard from us, but we are going strong. We just returned from our second trip to Uganda this year. Shown above are the Think Humanity sponsored students at our Annual Leadership Day. (Not pictured: Dinah, Jonathan, Prossy, Mathias and Lydia.)

Our donors have made a huge impact...

"Little by little, a little becomes a lot."
A quick overview of 2016 so far -

  • We have given out approximately 12,000 mosquito nets in three refugee camps and one underdeveloped community in Uganda.
  • From January till present we have constructed/dedicated (with two in process of construction) 16 water wells and one rainwater storage tank at a primary school.
  • We have 55 sponsored students from nursery up to university.
  • Think Humanity continues to partner with Life in Africa to buy their products, resale and then send 100 percent back to Uganda for our programs.
  • We have had four free Health Days at the Think Humanity Health Center-Kyangwali and provide 100 free ultrasounds a month.
  • We received the Rotary Club Grant for the Think Humanity Health Center-Kyangwali which provided more than $58,000 worth of medical equipment.
  • We hired a new team while in Uganda in September. Congolese refugees are being resettled outside of Uganda so we hired two Ugandans, one Congolese from Rwanda and Emmanuel will continue to work with us from Norway. He has been with Think Humanity since the day we began.

Bed Nets for Life Program
In September we gave out 2,000 mosquito nets to three villages in Kibaale District. The funding for the mosquito nets was donated through the 5th Annual Think Humanity Golf Tournament. Special thanks to the committee team Joe Bergholz, Kent Mills, Ron Norby, Mike Peetz and Duane Bauman. *further list of donors and volunteers below.
Water is Life
Since our trip in January-February 2016 trip and with the last trip in September, we have dedicated, constructed and have two wells in the construction process to total 16 new wells. We also were able to donate a water storage tank to a primary school in Kyangwali Refugee Camp (Planning for Tomorrow).
Think Humanity Girls' Hostel
The Think Humanity girl students at the hostel are in their 5th year of secondary school. They just started third term, which means lots of reading, studying and tutoring. Pictured are about half of our girls. Special thanks this year to UnlockHope, Red Empress Foundation, student sponsors and fundraising events in Florida and Colorado.
