This year, Nature Alberta is participating in the Aviva Community Fund challenge and we need your help to make it to the finals. Every vote gives Nature Alberta a chance to secure program funding to implement a new and exciting Living by Water landowner incentive program.
With our experience in delivering the Living by Water program, and supported by the trust and partnerships we have built in communities across Alberta, we would like to pilot a new incentive program in 2017 called the "Living By Water Incentive Initiative".
With funds from Aviva, Nature Alberta would be able to not only reach out and inform, but more importantly, help provide financial assistance to lakeshore residents to implement physical shoreline restoration projects on their property. The projects these lakeshore owners undertake will lead to direct environmental benefit for their lakes and contribute to building more sustainable lake-side communities.
