The Conference PDR meets the ECE Workforce Registry
This year, we have partnered with the California Early Care & Education Workforce Registry (ECE Workforce Registry) to track conferees' Professional Development Record (PDR) information. This will assist participants in creating a long-term electronic record that is part of a greater web-based data system for ECE professionals.
For more information about the ECE Workforce Registry, visit caregistry.org or view this You Tube video.
Who: The PDR is for all conference attendees who would like to use it to track their professional development.
What: The PDR…
- Allows conferees to keep a record of workshops, keynotes, and other conference sessions they attend.
- Assists trainers with tracking their annual professional development hours, per the CCR&R Trainer Recommendations (21 hours of professional development, annually)
- Is self-reported
- Is completely optional
Why: Using the PDR is an easy way to track training you have completed. It is helpful to have this record both personally and professionally. The PDR was first introduced at the Network/CAPPA Joint Conference in 2013, by recommendation from the Network’s Professional Development & Quality Improvement (PDQI) Task Force.
How: If you are interested in tracking your professional growth hours, you can use the PDR form included in the program as a personal record or complete the conference workshop evaluation form for each session you attend by following the instructions below.
To electronically document your professional growth hours in the ECE Workforce Registry, conferees must:
- Register online for the ECE Workforce Registry at caregistry.org
- Print your ECE Workforce Registry Membership Card or make a note of your 9-digit Registry ID number to bring with you
- Enter your Registry ID number when completing the electronic Workshop Evaluation Form via Formstack while at the conference
Note: If you wish to include information about your qualifications (e.g., transcripts and permits) it is important to know that Registry funding is currently limited to reviewing the documents of those with Registry accounts living in Los Angeles and San Francisco counties, only.
