Hurricane Matthew passed through western Haiti causing widespread flooding, destroyed houses, other structures and bridges, resulting in the displacement of thousands and the deaths of five Haitians. However the full scope of devastation, human or material, remains unclear due to poor communication and inaccessible areas.
