Need a Barn Cat?

UVHS is assisting a local family whose barn and property has become overpopulated by feral cats. Before we begin removing cats from the property,we are hoping to gather commitments from adoptive "barn homes" for as many as possible to give them a second chance at a full and happy life. If you have a barn, a garage, or another secure outbuilding and would be interested in adopting a feral cat, please see our barn cat page for more information on feral cats, our barn cat program, and how to request a cat (or cats). http://uvhs.org/barn-cat-program/

Adopt a Shelter Dog Month: Lilly

Hi, my name is Lilly! I'm a 3 year old mix. I am easy-going and sweet! I I love to cuddle and I'm definitely a lap dog! l enjoy spending time with people but I can also entertain myself with toys. I can't see out of my left eye, but I am still just as beautiful as the flower I'm named after.

Adopt a Shelter Dog Month: Annabeth

Hi, my name is Annabeth! I'm a 2 year old mix. I'm very smart and want to work, so please give me plenty of opportunities to use my brain. I have a lot of energy and love to play, walk, hike - you name it! I'd be a great dog to train for agility. I am fearful of strangers, so I'm looking for a patient owner who will let me go at my own pace in getting to know them. When I've warmed up to you, I will be your best friend! I'm looking for an adult-only home with dog experience.

Adopt a Shelter Dog Month: Beanie

Hi there, I'm Beanie the Beagle mix! I'm 8 years old. I love to be outside doing anything - if it's happening outside, I want to be a part of it! I am a sweet guy who just wants to be with someone as much as possible. I can be quite vocal, so apartment living isn't for me. I'd be happiest with someone who can spend the majority of their time with me, and keep me active as well. Someone who works from home, is retired or perhaps a truck driver who can take me with them on long hauls would be great for me! I get along with other dogs and children.

Adopt a Shelter Dog Month: Bullwinkle

Hi, my name is Bullwinkle and I'm a 1 year old goofball! I'm looking for a patient person committed to providing me with guidance and education. I am a lot of dog and I need help with learning manners, like that it's not okay to jump up on people. I'm just so excited to see you! An adult-only home is best for me, due to my high energy level. I'm not a fan of cats but other dogs might be okay, pending introductions.
