About the project:
Tower Hamlets Council’s Town Centres Team in the Economic Development Service is planning a footfall count in 7 town centres to get a better understanding of our high streets and town centres - PoplarHARCA is helping the Council identify volunteers to carry out the footfall count around the borough.
We are looking for volunteers who are:
Aged 16 and above
Looking for experience working as part of a team
Looking for experience volunteering for the Council
Interested in supporting the community
Patient, enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable
What we can offer volunteers:
Volunteers will be given an induction by the Council’s Economic Development Team.
Volunteers will be supported by Officers in the Economic Development Team
The main task will be counting the number of people using the town centres, using the Council’s method of gathering information.
The team will be carrying out the footfall count in 7 Tower Hamlets locations including Chrisp Street, Bethnal Green, Watney Market, Roman Road West, Brick Lane, Crossharbour and Bromley by Bow
When:
We are flexible on days
1-3 days in total (depending on your availability)
Other:
Volunteers who complete 1 day will be eligible for £60 in vouchers (plus £5 lunch voucher)
Volunteers who complete ½ day will be eligible for £25 in vouchers
