2016 LDSES Election
As LDS Earth Stewardship moves toward a year of increased membership, resources, and capacity to promote stewardship, it is vital that we are guided by a visionary and committed Board. The 2016 election will be conducted online, and is slated for the week of
December 3-10.
LDS Earth Stewardship welcomes expressions of interest in joining our Board of Directors. We especially need those who have expertise in marketing and communication.
Members of the Board of Directors are expected to participate in all Board meetings, serve on committees, and generally support the LDS Earth Stewardship through contributions of time and resources. The weekly time commitment required of a Board member varies, but is often 3-5 hours/week. The benefits include friendship, association, and the deep satisfaction of advancing an important work that creates a more beautiful world and a deeper connection with God.
Prospective candidates should
email a resume and statement of interest to the Nominating Committee.
Local Leaders Needed
New members consistently tell us that they joined LDS Earth Stewardship seeking a community of stewardship-minded Latter-day Saints. LDS Earth Stewardship can provide this is through local groups like that recently organized in Washington, DC.
As a first step toward establishing additional local groups, the Membership Committee is seeking volunteers to help lead groups in
Salt Lake City,
Provo, and
St. George. The details of how local groups will be organized have not been determined, but let's figure it out together. If you are interested, please send
email.
, volunteers will return to Sandy Beach at Utah Lake for the third, and final, cleanup this summer. Here's the
