Chigwell School's 1st XI girls hockey team crowned county champions
Chigwell School's 1st XI ladies have been crowned Essex U18 hockey champions.
En route to their tournament success the girls beat Coopers 1-0, Brentwood 1-0 and Bancroft's 1-0 and Felsted 3-2. In their final match Chigwell beat Forest School 2-0.
The girls will now represent the county at the regional finals in Bedford.
Captain Annie Redmond praised her team saying: “Well done to all of my team mates, you were amazing!”
Coach and Head of Girls' Games, Miranda Baldwin, said: “I am so happy for the girls. After years of hard work they have got their reward.
"Confidence and team spirit is high and the girls will be turning up at Bedford to do their best to get to the National Finals."
