A Decatur Industrial customer had been using a 3rd party large vibration company that reviewed the vibration results from a remote location. The customer did not see the value in those reports and were still experiencing reactive emergency maintenance and downtime. The plant contacted Decatur Industrial, who does all their motor repair, to perform vibration analysis condition monitoring.
Tom is part of the “Decatur” in Decatur Industrial! Born and raised in Decatur, he attended vocational school for Industrial Manufacturing and Maintenance during high school. After graduating from Richland Community College, with a degree in Electrical Systems Technology, he came to work full-time for D.I.E. He had various positions within crane and hoist, building maintenance, and the winding department. After learning the trade, he became winding leadman and held that position until accepting the position of Production Supervisor.
Fun Fact about Tom: He collects antiques and is a HAM radio operator!
