TalentNEO Year 2 Update

As year 1 of the TalentNEO project has wrapped up, The TalenNEO team and partners have been preparing the plan for Year 2, which started October 1. Through sustainable networks that are well equipped and prepared for collaboration, innovation, and leadership we seek to catalyze change in the workforce ecosystem by determining whether skill assessments have the potential to open and accelerate access to quality career pathways for individuals and by increasing the pool of quality applicants available to companies. Based upon Year 1 progress and lessons learned, we have refined and updated our five initiative goals.

Year 2 Goals

Goal 1: Increase access to quality career opportunities by creating an infrastructure for jobseekers to learn about and acquire skills scores, engage in upskilling or technical training, and access career pathway opportunities.
Goal 2: Create a viable alternative to the traditional selection process by helping businesses to recognize the value of skills scores and to use them to interview, hire and advance talent.
Goal 3: Strengthen the workforce system by creating a partnership network that implements this initiative and is well equipped and positioned for future collaborations.
Goal 4: TalentNEO is seen as a leader in deploying skills-based interventions and attracts national attention and funding.
Goal 5: Learnings from TalentNEO implementation and impact are captured, used to inform the efforts of the workforce system, and guide how business and jobseekers communicate.
