TURKEY TROT T-SHIRT DESIGN DETAILS
All designs are due Thursday, October 13, 2016.

Turkey Trot Sponsors Wanted!
Do you own a local ​business? Do you know someone that owns a local business and may be interested in helping BMES? The Turkey Trot Committee is looking for sponsors for our big event! The sponsor letter below has all of the important information. The deadline for sponsorship commitment and submission of all required items is October 19, 2016. WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!! WE HAVE 6 OPEN TIME SLOTS FOR THIS YEAR'S BOOK FAIR. ONLINE BOOK FAIR!

If your order books via the Online Book Fair, the books will  ship directly to our school for FREE after the Online Fair ends on 10/13/2016.  In order to shop our Online Book Fair, you must have a Scholastics account. You can also create a Student Wish List and send it to family!  If you can't find a book at the book fair, please check out the Online Book Fair - it might be there!

Donate to Blue Mountain's Wish List through the Online Book Fair
HAUNT IN THE 'MONT OCTOBER 28, 2016, 6-9 PM.
 
Haunt in the ‘Mont is a SPOOKTACULAR “business crawl” fundraiser thru Downtown Longmont. 21+ trick-or-treaters (hopefully in costume) will make their way thru Downtown Longmont and redeem their tickets for complimentary food, drink, music, and other “treats” supplied by the generous Downtown Longmont businesses. Haunt in the ‘Mont is a fundraiser event, and 100% of proceeds will go to the Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley and will be used to benefit local elementary and middle schools.

Tickets can be purchased for $20. There will also have designated driver tickets on sale for $10. Designated driver tickets entitle you to all non-alcoholic treats from businesses. From 6:00pm-9:00pm, at participating destinations, you will receive a taste of food, drink, prize or give-away and/or entertainment.

When you purchase or pick up your ticket, you will be asked which school you are supporting. Make sure you say Blue Mountain ES! The school with the most support will receive a generous prize!

BOX TOPS CLASS CONTEST RUNS THROUGH OCTOBER 28TH. 
The class that brings in the most Box Tops wins a Spirit Day of their choice! Click on the flyer below for more details about the contest. Don’t miss any clips! Make sure you have an up-to-date Box Tops product list by clicking on the button below.

We earn 10 cents for every Bop Top that you turn into our school!  It is hip to clip!
 
BOX TOPS CLASS CONTEST UPDATE
We have collected 3220 box tops as of Friday, October 7.  Mrs. Cruger's class is in the lead with 876 box tops!  Mrs. Williams is in 2nd place with 459 box tops.  Keep clipping!  There are 18 days left in the contest!

CONFERENCE MEALS UPDATE
Thanks to all of the families that signed up to bring items for conference meals. Our teachers truly appreciate your donations!   We have some openings with set up and clean up on October 11 & 13. Please go HERE to see the openings or check out what you have signed up to bring.

The Blue Mountain PTO buys a Turkey Trot t-shirt for every students and staff member. We bought 730 shirts for the 2015 Turkey Trot. Thank you Blue Mountain families for making this possible by supporting Turkey Trot, King Soopers gift cards, Spirit Nights, Book Fair, Box Tops and Milk caps!  Keep it going!  If you would like to see how we are planning to earn and spend money this school year, go HERE.
We are so excited about having the Turkey Trot on Veterans Day this year! Thank you Martha Walker for chairing the 2016 Turkey Trot! We are looking for volunteers to help out with the 2016 Turkey Trot!   Please contact Martha Walker if you are interested in helping out with our Veterans Day themed Turkey Trot!  We have lots of volunteer opportunities! 
Please join us at our first Coffee Connect with principal Stephen Hoel on Wednesday, October 19 at 9 am.  This a great opportunity to sit down with Stephen in an informal setting to learn about what's going on at Blue Mountain and talk with him about any questions or concerns that you have.  We will also update everyone on PTO happenings.
