Community Pharmacy Greater Manchester Healthcare Limited (CHL) has been established to:
- Jointly support the provision and implementation of high quality pharmacy services with Local Pharmaceutical Committees (LPCs);
- Work with Community Pharmacy in Greater Manchester to ensure a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the people of the whole of GM; through the tendering for and delivery of, high quality services with positive patient outcomes.
This is a very important time for the population of Greater Manchester. Devolution brings fantastic new opportunities for us to respond to the needs of local people via better coordinated services. We in Community Pharmacy want and need to be at the forefront of that response. We also want to ensure that pharmacy is fairly rewarded for the services that it delivers.
Applications are therefore invited from innovative and established individuals to become Directors of the Board of CHL, in line with the Rules and Articles of Association of the company. Successful candidates should have extensive business experience and an in-depth working knowledge of Community Pharmacy and its alignment within Primary Care. Transferable knowledge and relevant experience within a similar field may also be considered. The five Directors will be collectively responsible for and held accountable for the running of the company and for bidding for tenders and running services awarded.
