قصة أعجبتني
ده كان ملاك
فى عهد قداسة البابا كيرلس السادس اصر على ان يكون هناك حالة من السهر الدائم فى داخل جميع الكنائس فامر بعمل التسبحة ليللا بطريقة شبه يومية وحاول نقل روح التسبحة التى كانت فقط فى داخل اسوار الاديرة الى كل الكنائس فى مصر
وحدث ذات مرة ان البابا فكر بالمرور بنفسه على عدة كنائس ليرى هل تتم صلوات التسبحة ليلا فيها ام انهم غافلون واثناء مروره باحد الكنائس دخل فوجد شماسا عجوزا ولكنه كفيف يقوم بعمل التسبحة منفردا ولا يوجد اى شخص اخر معه وعندما اقترب من المذبح وجد على المنجلية الاخرى ملاكا واقفا ويرابع هذا الشماس الكفيف فى التسبحة والمكان مملؤا بروحانية شديدة فسجد سيدنا امام الهيكل وبدا فى ترديد التسبحة مع الشماس , وعندما انتهوا عرف الشماس صوت البابا كيرلس فذهب واخذ بركته ولكنه ساله سؤال : يا سيدنا انت لما جيت اختفى صوت الشماس اللى كان بيرد عليا فى التسبحة هو روح ولا ايه ده هو كل يوم معايا هنا بنقول التسبحة سوا حتى بعد ما اخلص احاول اشكره او حتى اساله على اسمه الاقيه مشى وباتسامة هادئة وحنان احتضن البابا هذا الشماس القديس وقاله من اجل سهرك ارسل الله ملاكه ليك ده مكنش شماس يا ابويا ولا واحد من الشعب ده كان ملاك ربنا بيبعتهولك كل يوم عشان يردد التسبحة معاك ولما لاقانى دخلت وابتديت اقول التسبحة حس ان دوره انتهى فانطلق ليكمل تسبحته فوق امام عرش النعمة
طوبى للانسان الذى يظل ساهرا فهذا يرى السماء مفتوحة امامه

Saint of the Week
The Departure of Saint Paul of Tamouh
On this day, Abba Paul (Paula) who was from Tamouh (El-Tamouhi) (Thmoui), departed. Since he was inclined since his young age to solitary life, he went to Ansena Mountain. There he lived with his disciple Ezekiel, who was the witness of his virtues.
For his exceeding love to the Lord Christ, to Whom is the glory, he exhausted his body with asceticism, forsaking earthly things, with fasting and many prayers in a way that exceeds human endurance. For this, he deserved that the Lord Christ appear to him and bless him for his conduct in this life, for such is the behavior of those who are perfect and who fight against the flesh, the world and the devil till they overcome them. St. Paul said to the Lord, "All that is due to Your care, O You creator and redeemer of the human race, by Your death on our behalf, we the undeserving sinners." The Lord Christ comforted and strengthened him.

قديس هذا الأسبوع
نياحة القديس الأنبا بولا الطموهي
في مثل هذا اليوم تنيح القديس الأنبا بولا الذي من طموه. ولأنه كان يميل منذ حداثته إلى العزلة والانفراد فقد قصد جبل أنصنا وسكن به وأقام معه هناك تلميذه حزقيال، هذا الذي شهد بفضائله. ومن ذلك أنه من فرط محبته للسيد المسيح له المجد، أضنى جسده بالزهد والتقشف والأصوام والصلوات الكثيرة التي تفوق طاقة البشر حتى استحق أن يظهر له المسيح ويطوبه على سلوكه في هذه الحياة الدنيا مسلك الكاملين الذين جاهدوا ضد الجسد والعالم والشيطان حتى تغلبوا عليهم. فقال له الأنبا بولا "كل هذا بعنايتك يا خالق البشر وفاديه، بموتك عنا نحن الخطاة غير المستحقين". فعزاه الرب يسوع وقواه.

- You cannot separate light from darkness unless you place physical barriers.
- Spiritual starvation is when a human craves to listening to God’s word but he can't find it, or to crave to seeing GOD but he can’t see Him.
- The servant who doesn’t seek knowledge is like still water, where Fungi and Algae grow.
- The servant is like a palm tree in his spirituality, like grass at the feet of others, like a fruitful tree in his virtues, and like a bitter melon tree in judging himself.
- God works with you even if you fall in sin, he raised Abraham’s face after he had lied and claimed that Sarah was his sister.
- Who has a big mind wins situations, while who has a big heart wins souls.
- Deal with the man as a man, with the youth as a youth, with the child as a child, and with the elders as a child too.

Arabic Speaking Gathering Church
The Arabic Speaking Christian Churches in Perth Gathered again.
The meeting took place on Saturday the 8th of October at Perth Arabic Christian Church "PACC", Among the Leaders of Churches that took part in this gathering, Fr. Abram Abdelmalek from St Mary & Archangel Michael Coptic Orthodox Church, Fr. Elias Kilzi from The Parish of Our Lady of the Annunciation of the Melkite Catholics, Pastor Magdi Sadek and Pastor Youssef Mikhail from the Host Church. The Topic of the gathering was "The Church and the modern challenges".
It was a great opportunity for all Arabic Speaking Churches to meet and pray together.

 Multicultural Café—aged care consultations
The Office of Multicultural Interests (OMI) in partnership with City of Armadale, Umbrella Multicultural Community Care Services and Alzheimer's Australia WA invite you to a Multicultural Café focused on aged care needs.
Time: 9.30am – 12.00pm (8.30am registration)
Date: Thursday 10 November 2016
Venue: Armadale District Hall
Jull Street and Church Avenue, Armadale
The event aims to increase opportunities for connections with and social support for the aged care issues of seniors from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds, particularly those with dementia, their families and carers.

 Regional Events Scheme—annual funding round
Tourism WA's Regional Events Scheme (RES), which is jointly funded by Royalties for Regions, is an annual funding round for regional events across the State.
The annual RES funding round is now open for events that fall between July 2017 and June 2018.

Primary School Choir
As of this Saturday 15 October 2016, the church will start a regular primary school choir practice and rehearsal. The sessions will start exactly after St Mary & Archangel Michael Hymns and Ritual School in the morning.
We anticipate that this choir will perform on new year's eve and Sunday School January Celebration.

This weekend, St. Mary & Archangel Michael Youth will be planning a mini-retreat at the Church. The theme will be Unite & Recharge, when we come together and are united with one Spirit, we are encouraged by one another and are ready to take on the next step in our lives.

Cost is FREE! However you will just need to pay for your own dinner on Friday night
