The VEP team attended the Colorado Governor's Tourism Conference recently and gained insight into the future of Colorado's Tourism Roadmap, learned what is trending in the travel industry, and improved our expertise through education sessions, thereby helping us to serve you better. CTO did a fantastic job with the conference, and it was great to see the leadership of new Director, Cathy Ritter, in action.
The most exciting event of the conference was winning the award for Best Marketing Campaign in the State of Colorado! We were completely surprised, but as you can imagine, absolutely ecstatic. It was great to share this with the team, recognizing their hard work and dedication, as well as our Board of Directors. I also would like to acknowledge the tremendous work of our community. All of you are a part of this award and should take pride in it. We could not design nor deploy a marketing campaign without all of your hard work and investment in your business, providing us the experiences to market a dynamic campaign. Stay tuned for a community party this winter - plans are in the works!

Once it is approved by the Town of Estes Park and Larimer County, the final report will be uploaded to the Partners Section on our website. We continue to deploy a progressive and robust Operating Plan, balancing the needs of the community with cultivating a healthy year-round economy. |

The total amount received in August was -0.28% lower than last year. When adjusted for late payments, the decrease is estimated to be -1.23%. Let this serve as a reminder that continued growth is not a certainty. We need to be mindful that visitors have many travel options to consider. To remain competitive, we must all focus on the future, including infrastructure, new activities, and destination product development. The total for the summer season, defined as June through August, is up 9.83% compared to the same season last year. Year to date (YTD), lodging taxes are up 10.95%. When adjusted for late payments, the YTD growth is estimated at 7.81%.
