Council adopted the Community Based Strategic Plan (CBSP) in September 2015 and received the 2016 CBSP Report Card on our progress to date at its meeting held September 26, 2016. Residents are invited to attend the Town Hall meeting to let us know what you think of our progress on achieving the goals within the Community Based Strategic Plan and if you have any suggestions for additional Key Performance Indicators.

Waterfront Master Plan

It's not too late to provide your feedback! The Waterfront Master Plan will rely on input from Collingwood residents. Engagement sessions were held in May, July and October. Two surveys were conducted in April and July and the third and final survey is live now!

Moses Znaimer to Speak in Collingwood October 13th

Moses Znaimer, the internationally renowned Canadian broadcaster and media pioneer, will be speaking at the Historic Gayety Theatre in Collingwood on October 13th starting at 5:00 p.m. This will be the first time Moses will speak in South Georgian Bay about his role in shaping Canada’s media landscape, championing the needs and interests of Canada's 15.3 million people aged 45plus, and most recently bringing classical music to the region.

Following the event, guests will be invited to Mix & Mingle with Moses next door to the Historic Gayety Theatre with appetizers from Sushi Hon.

Changes to Building Permit Fees

TAKE NOTICE that amendments to the Fees and Service Charges By-law are being proposed to increase certain Building Permit Fees as a result of a review undertaken under Section 7(b) of the Building Code Act.
 
Information on the proposed increases including the estimated costs of enforcing and administering the Building Code Act, the amount of the proposed fee increases and the rationale for change in fees, can be obtained at:

Any person may attend the information session and/or public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed fees.  The earliest dated a by-law could be considered to amend the Building Permit Fees is November 14, 2016 during the meeting of Council to be held in the Council Chambers, 97 Hurontario Street, Collingwood.
