In July of 2016, Anchor's latest development project opened its doors in Deptford, New Jersey. This 65,000 square-foot comprehensive pediatric healthcare destination provides the services of more than 20 physician specialties as well as medical imaging, rehabilitation and ambulatory surgery.
Winner of the 2016 Health Care Facilities' Symposium Award for User-Centered Design, this facility is built to accommodate the whole family. A number of conveniences include sibling care, a lactation room, community meeting space, a café and an outdoor playground.
The interior design of the building was planned around the Affordable Care Act’s three-point aim – 1) improving experience of care; 2) improving the health of populations; and 3) lowering health care costs. Intelligently designed with clinical 'touch-down' areas and back stage access to all areas of the building, this facility strikes an important balance between enhancing the lives of patients and families, and improving overall provider experience and effectiveness. The clinical workflow ensures that patients are treated in the most effective and expedited manner while keeping their comfort and experience in mind.
The facility was designed by Array Architects and constructed by Whiting Turner.
