The Boswells School holds careers evening
The Boswells School welcomed more than 60 standholders to its Careers Evening which was held in the school's Theatre, Restaurant and Gym.
Representatives from a wide range of universities, colleges, apprenticeship providers, alumni, local businesses and professionals attended the event which gave Year 10, 11 and Sixth Form students and their parents the opportunity to research a diverse range of career paths by talking informally to experts in their fields.
Standholders came from a wide range of colleges and universities as well as employers and providers from the fields of architecture, finance, law, construction, medicine, media, accountancy, insurance, the Armed Forces, marketing and engineering.
The event was extremely well attended and generated excellent feedback.
Headteacher Paul Banks said: "At The Boswells School we place a great deal of emphasis and importance on providing our students with high quality, independent careers advice and guidance and our Careers Evening is an important part of this provision.
"It is great to see so many local and national providers attend the school to talk to our students and their parents. It was an exceptionally well attended event and I know our students got a lot of information to help them determine their future career paths."
He added: "I would like to thank our Careers Officer, Paula Page, who works tirelessly to support our students and whose outstanding organisation was the reason the evening was so successful and well attended."
