Happy Fall!

We hope your fall season is off to a wonderful start! We have lots of activities coming up, including a visit to the North Carolina Museum of Art to see giant bunnies, a rabbit health class, and our annual Holiday Boutique! Read on for details!

Maple and Buttersworth

Buttersworth and his best friend Maple are two lucky bunnies. They were rescued this summer by Cary Animal Control after being abandoned in a local park. These little fluffs, like all domestic bunnies, are not equipped for life outside on their own. After their rescue, they came to Triangle Rabbits and are part of the foster program at AniMall Pet Adoption and Outreach Center in Cary.

These two are very busy bunnies, and love to run around and play. Tunnels are some of their favorite things! Lionhead bunnies have lots of long, fluffy hair and need to be brushed regularly. Maple and Buttersworth are spayed and neutered, and ready for a home and family of their own. BunFest 2016!

Our second annual summer BunFest was a smashing success! We met some new rescue groups, hosted a special class about what to feed your rabbit, debuted some great bunny toys, and learned about rabbit health! We hope you had as much fun as we did.

If you still need some toys, don't worry! Many new selections and old favorites will be coming at Happy Holiday Tails on Sunday, December 4!

Hello from Mazie!

Mazie came to Triangle Rabbits about two months ago from the Animal Emergency Hospital & Urgent Care clinic. This sweet girl has been in foster care recovering from head tilt. At the beginning, she was tilted pretty far over and was unable to keep her balance. After a course of treatment and several acupuncture sessions at Avian and Exotic Animal Care, she is doing great! We are thankful for all the good wishes for her. Someone even sent Mazie her very own pink fleece blanket! At her most recent checkup Mazie was well enough for spay surgery, and she came through her surgery just fine. She will be spending a little more time in foster care to make sure she is stable and her symptoms do not return, and then she will be ready for adoption!

Upcoming Events

An evening at the North Carolina Museum of Art! We are going to see Amanda Parer: Intrude at the NCMA. Saturday, October 29 at 6:30pm. RSVP so we know to look for you.

Happy Holiday Tails Work Day, Saturday, November 12. The holidays are coming! We will be getting together on Saturday afternoon to help assemble toys for Happy Holiday Tails, and any other event preparation activities. Time and location TBA.

Please make plans to join us at Avian and Exotic Animal Care for our fall Rabbit Health class. Saturday, November 19, 2pm-4pm. You can ask your rabbit health questions and tour the hospital. 8711 Fidelity Blvd, Raleigh.

Annual Holiday Boutique at Happy Holiday Tails! This upcoming holiday party and fundraiser will be on Sunday, December 4, from 1pm-5pm at AniMall Pet Adoption and Outreach Center. We will have a wonderful gift table with plenty of toys and handmade items for people and bunnies. Start your holiday shopping here and help Triangle area bunnies at the same time!

Our Bunny Butler program with AniMall Pet Adoption and Outreach Center is growing! The bunnies are busy recruiting new volunteers to bring greens, give pets, get them out for exercise, and help with light housekeeping.
