Counting on Stakeholders

Public consultation opens for ASI 2017 Assessment Planning

Last week, we published the 2017 Assessment Schedule. The ASI Planning Team organizes about 500 assessments per year with the roughly 80 ASI accredited Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) for seven accreditation programs. These include different types of surveillance audits: compliance and witness assessments take ASI assessors directly on site, desk reviews are conducted remotely and integrity projects focus on key risk areas or regions.

To target ASI assessments, we use many sources of information. By combining ASI data on non-conformity and risk with intelligence from incident reporting and input from ASI stakeholders like you, we ensure that our surveillance activities are happening when and where they should.

We invite you to provide your input, by taking a 10 - 15 minute survey about risks to the integrity of the certification schemes that ASI accredits. We encourage you to provide as much information as possible, and to pass the survey along to your network. Your perspective is valuable to us – and we thank you for taking the time.

Kind Regards,

Maggie Thomas
