Dear friends,

This week, staff and church leaders have been working on our paperwork for the annual meeting of the Charge Conference. Every United Methodist congregation holds a Charge Conference each year to review the administrative work of the church and more importantly to celebrate the mission and ministry of the past year. This is also the meeting at which we elect our leaders for the upcoming year(s). I am so grateful for the talented men and women who have agreed to help lead us in all of our teams, committees and boards.

The Charge Conference is an open meeting and everyone who would like to join us on October 30 is welcome. This year we will be meeting with other churches at Benbrook UMC.

It has been exciting to look back at the past year and remember all that we have done as we work to share the love of Jesus Christ with the world. From sharing the gift of Christmas with families at the Evening of Angels to packing 10,000 meals for Stop Hunger Now to weekly Sunday School and Small Groups and much, much more, we have been hard at work. 

Taking a moment to look back at the ministries of the past year has made me even more excited about what’s to come! God has blessed us abundantly and we have an opportunity to dream about new and creative ministries. Where is God calling you? Where is God calling us? 

The future is filled with exciting possibilities. I invite you to join me in prayer and anticipation for all God has for us at University!
