1. DIY SEO: An E-Commerce Intro for Artists, Makers & #BadassCreatives

I'm teaching another DIY SEO workshop next month, and this time I'm catering it specifically for artists and makers who sell their goods online!

If you'll be joining me next April in Ventura, California for Craftcation: Business + Makers Conference, this will be a sneak peek of what I'm planning to teach there!

Join me at Lionheart Prints on Tuesday, November 15, but be sure to buy your ticket in advance because seating is super limited. Tickets are $49 each for this workshop. You can also RSVP and share it with your friends on Facebook!

2. Hard Wood Grows Slowly…

“Hard wood grows slowly,” she said. “I saw that as a kid. The soft trees would break. The hard trees would grow and live forever.” ~ Jewel

I’m a big fan of James Altucher’s writing but somehow I didn’t realize he had a podcast until about a week ago. That’s when I discovered a recent episode where he had singer songwriter Jewel on as a guest. She was promoting her new book Never Broken, and I’ve gotta say… if you need a swift kick of inspiration, check out this episode! Jewel is so incredibly smart, resilient and well-spoken.

3. A Handmade Rebrand Case Study

One of my favorite indie companies, Handcrafted HoneyBee, recently shared this case study explaining how they overhauled their branding. It's a super in-depth look at how they hired a graphic designer and web designer to help them rebrand, plus all of the challenges they faced along the way.

4. 7 Easy Ways You Can Help Bees Right Now

Speaking of honeybees, are you worried about the plight of the bees? (If not, you really should be.) Luckily, my favorite magazine Mental Floss has put together a list of 7 Easy Ways You Can Help Bees Right Now.

5. The Art of Negotiation

My friend Lelia Gowland recently shared a great article about taking a taste of her own medicine

You see, Lelia teaches women the art of negotiating, but sometimes we are our own worst person to negotiate with. (I definitely identified with a lot of the feelings Lelia talks about in her post.)

Check it out, and if you’re planning to negotiate for a raise or a promotion soon, check out Lelia’s negotiation e-courses which will be launching later this week!
